Delta-class T-3c shuttle

The Delta-class T-3c shuttle, also known as the Delta-class shuttle, represented a particular shuttle model utilized by the Galactic Empire around the era of the Battle of Yavin. A notable owner of one of these vessels was Director Orson Krennic. Its design featured a sharply angular hull form and wings that folded in a manner reminiscent of bat wings.

The Delta-class T-3c shuttle's genesis lay in an unsanctioned project by Sienar Fleet Systems, initially not intended for mass production. However, upon viewing the conceptual design of the transport, Director Orson Krennic became captivated, influencing Sienar's subsequent choice to manufacture the shuttle. The starship was engineered for maximum stealth capability, exhibiting a dark, sloping hull and a specialized composite skin. The crew compartment was minimalistic, furnished with basic crash seating and restraint straps. Its foldable side wings served to diminish the shuttle's occupied space while grounded. These wings housed HoloNet and Subspace antennae, ensuring continuous communication capabilities in the depths of space. Laser cannons were installed on the shuttle's underside and at the extremity of each of its three wings.

History

Following Krennic's setbacks, the T-3c experienced a decline in popularity. Magna Tolvan pursued Chelli Aphra to Skako Minor utilizing a Delta-class T-3c shuttle. Upon the arrival of Emperor Palpatine at the Death Star II aboard his personal Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, TK-293, a stormtrooper on site, remarked that were he the Emperor, he would opt to arrive in a Delta-class T-3c shuttle.
