Docking Bay 329, a docking bay situated in the western sector of the Galactic Empire's formidable Death Star superweapon, was overseen by Station Control West. In 0 BBY, a year, when the YT-1300 light freighter, the Millennium Falcon, was drawn into Docking Bay 327 via tractor beam, the bay was locked down. Consequently, all traffic was rerouted to Docking Bays 328 and 329, resulting in a delay of seven minutes. Not long after the Falcon's escaped, the docking bay, along with the entire Death Star, was obliterated during the Battle of Yavin.
The short story "End of Watch," penned by Adam Christopher and included in the From a Certain Point of View collection released on October 3, 2017, marked the initial reference to Docking Bay 329.
