Dua Ningo, an aged Sullustan, held the rank of admiral within the Commerce Guild's Sullustan Home Guard. His responsibilities included the defense of the Sullust sector and safeguarding the interests of the SoroSuub Corporation. With the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Ningo and the Commerce Guild aligned with the Confederacy of Independent Systems in their conflict against the Galactic Republic. He continued his service as an admiral, now for the Separatist fleet. As the war intensified, Ningo was put in charge of overseeing the construction of a Separatist flotilla composed of Bulwark-class battle cruisers, with the expectation that it would be finished two years into the war. He also envisioned using these cruisers in a potential assault on the Republic capital, the planet of Coruscant.
The character of Dua Ningo is part of the current Star Wars canon, having been mentioned in Rise of the Separatists. This source is a 2019 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying game series created by Fantasy Flight Games. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Dua Ningo made his debut in The New Essential Chronology, a 2005 reference book penned by Daniel Wallace together with Kevin J. Anderson.
