The Elite-class vessel represented a type of scientific vessel that the Galactic Republic engineered in the time of the High Republic Era. The Innovator, an Elite-class ship, was conceived by Vam Targes and built by the insectoid Cyclorrians at the Cyclor Shipyards. This ship possessed a stretched, pointed, arrowhead-like form, and its operations hub was situated in a raised section toward the back, which was equipped with rows of sensors. Displayed at the Republic Fair which took place on the planet Valo, the Innovator met its end when Nihil marauders initiated an attack against the celebratory event.
