Eskaron

Eskaron, a satellite of Genarius, was classified as a moon.

Originally, this moon was habitable, but it suffered extensive damage from sprawling tunnel networks. These were created by space worms that consumed a specific metal within the planet. When the worms devoured the metal, they exposed Eskaron's molten core. This expansion obliterated the atmosphere, resulting in the deaths of some of the worms. After exhausting the metal supply, the space worms migrated, leaving behind the tunnels and some remains.

These tunnels varied significantly in size, ranging from a few meters to several kilometers in width. Many were large enough to accommodate starships, leading Riboga, a Hutt, to establish organized races starting in 72 BBY. This activity continued after Nirama assumed control of Riboga's organization in 53 BBY. Nirama profited by taking a portion of the revenue and placing bets on race outcomes. These races were still popular in 32 BBY. At the time, Klis Joo, the governor of Forard city, was pursuing the construction of a racer for the Eskaron races as a personal hobby.

Piloting skills were often tested within the tunnels, which were also used by the Blood Velkers gang for initiation rites.

In 32 BBY, the youth gang Blood Raptors utilized a specific track while Nirama's races occurred elsewhere on Eskaron. The Raptor track began in The Spiral, then navigated a sharp turn into Skinning the Mynock, which was composed of two figure-eight patterns. The track then intersected Nirama's race circuit before continuing through the Cavern of Teeth and twelve zig-zag turns, eventually exiting the moon. Racers then had the option of traveling to the asteroid belt and returning, or visiting the city of Nub Saar before returning to the starting point; subsequent racers were expected to follow the chosen route.

During a race on this track involving Gael Kinner of the Raptors in his G-59 Cannibalizer and Teeloo, a Rodian entrepreneur, in his YT-1210 Neeva-Beelo, one of Nirama's racers, Arraxx, was killed when their ship was destroyed. Nirama immediately demanded retribution against those responsible, who were tracked down after completing the race.
