Ezra's broadcast

Ezra Bridger's broadcast, which occurred in 4 BBY shortly after the raid on the communications towerin, served as a call to arms. Inspired by his parents, Mira and Ephraim, Ezra Bridger used his broadcast to encourage defiance against the oppressive rule of the Galactic Empire, urging all within the galaxy to stand against it. This message of rebellion, originating from the hacked Imperial Communications Center on the planet Lothal, was disseminated throughout the galaxy until Governor Wilhuff Tarkin ordered the center's destruction.

The broadcast

Legacy

Despite the Galactic Empire's efforts to suppress it, the message resonated with countless individuals on Lothal and in nearby star systems. Before spreading across the galaxy, reaching even the most remote locations, it instilled hope during the darkest times. From disparate cells, a formidable resistance movement emerged, known as the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

The broadcast also reached Mira and Ephraim Bridger, his parents, the very individuals who had inspired Ezra to create it. Having been arrested and imprisoned for treason, they recognized their son's voice and were motivated to instigate a break that freed themselves and numerous other prisoners. Although they succeeded in helping others escape, the Bridgers themselves perished.

Shortly before the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, C-3PO recounted the story of Ezra's galaxy-wide broadcast to the Ewoks of Endor, explaining how a single boy's message ignited a rebellion across numerous worlds.
