Ezra's third lightsaber
During the age of the New Republic, Ezra Bridger, a Bokken Jedi, constructed a fresh lightsaber with a blue blade. This was achieved with assistance from Huyang, and served as a replacement for his previous green-bladed one, which had been gifted to his friend, Sabine Wren.
Description
After his years of exile, Ezra Bridger created a lightsaber that intentionally mirrored the design of his master, Kanan Jarrus' lightsaber. Bridger sought to pay tribute to his master by replicating its appearance, even amidst a sense of urgency. The lightsaber, powered by a blue kyber crystal, also incorporated the same emitter shroud as Jarrus' weapon. Huyang provided this shroud to Bridger, explaining that he had originally kept it for Kanan when he was a Padawan, in case a replacement was ever needed.
History
Bridger, upon reuniting with Wren and Ahsoka Tano on Peridea, hastily assembled his new lightsaber aboard Ahsoka's ship utilizing components supplied by Huyang. This lightsaber was used by Bridger to defend the Noti. Bridger wielded his new lightsaber to eliminate Night Troopers and a zombified Death Trooper as he, Wren, and Tano tried to prevent Thrawn from returning to the known galaxy.
Behind the scenes
The first appearance of Ezra's third lightsaber was in "Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord," which served as the finale for the Ahsoka television series of 2023. It was released on October 3, 2023.
