Ahsoka, also known as Star Wars: Ahsoka, is a live-action TV show that was initially revealed to the public on December 10, 2020. Its inaugural season was available for streaming exclusively on Disney+ during 2023. Dave Filoni is the writer, and he co-produces with Jon Favreau; the series stars Rosario Dawson in the role of Ahsoka Tano. The narrative unfolds in 9 ABY, following Ahsoka Tano's appearance in the second season of The Mandalorian, and centers on her quest to locate Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn, a search that began in the epilogue of the animated show Star Wars Rebels. A second installment was declared on January 9, 2024, and Filoni will direct an upcoming unnamed movie that will conclude the story of the series.

Speculation about a series centered on Ahsoka Tano in live-action began to surface online around March of 2020. This was only a few weeks after Disney's CEO, Bob Iger, suggested during an earnings call that they were working on spin-offs featuring characters from The Mandalorian. Tano's live-action debut occurred in "Chapter 13: The Jedi" of The Mandalorian Season Two, making her a potential subject for a Mandalorian spin-off. Lucasfilm Ltd. President Kathleen Kennedy formally announced the series on December 10, 2020, at an investors day presentation. A post on StarWars.com later that day verified that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni would be the executive producers, with Filoni as the writer and Rosario Dawson starring.
On October 22, 2021, Rosario Dawson shared on Instagram that Hayden Christensen would return to play Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka. However, this announcement was subsequently removed.
Filming for the show commenced on May 9, 2022, under the working title "Stormcrow." Timothy Zahn, the individual who created Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn," was consulted, and will continue to be consulted, to ensure that the Grand Admiral's character is accurately portrayed. Zahn mentioned that he had "spoken a couple of times" about Thrawn and would "discuss things more thoroughly in the future."
On January 9, 2024, StarWars.com announced the film The Mandalorian and Grogu, also revealing that Dave Filoni was developing a second installment of Ahsoka. The following day, a formal announcement of Ahsoka season 2 was posted on the website, accompanied by a sketch from Filoni depicting Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren standing on a statue featured in the Season 1 finale, with the caption "The story continues…."
At the 76th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which took place on September 7 and 8, 2024, Ahsoka received the award for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes for "Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord." The show received nominations for, but did not win, Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie, Outstanding Period or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Hairstyling (for "Part One: Master and Apprentice"), Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup (for "Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord"), and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation (for "Part Four: Fallen Jedi," with Matthew Wood and David Acord included in the nomination).
