Mandalorian initiation ritual

MandalorianCovert Ragnar's initiation ritual A ceremony of Mandalorian initiation served as a rite of passage within the Mandalorian Creed. During this ceremony, the Mandalorian undergoing initiation would speak the Creed's words while immersed in water. Additionally, those who adhered to the Way of the Mandalore pledged to keep their helmets on at all times. Should this ritual occur within the Living Waters located in the Mines of Mandalore, it could also serve to absolve apostates who had broken their helmet vow and faced exile from the Children of the Watch.

During her childhood, princess Bo-Katan Kryze participated in this ritual within the Living Waters, witnessed by her father and the subjects of the Mandalorian royal family. She received numerous gifts and brought pride to her father. However, Kryze viewed the ritual merely as a performance for the benefit of their subjects and a component of children's stories. Furthermore, she dismissed any notion of inherent magic within the waters.

Ragnar creed Ragnar participates in the formal initiation ritual, held in the Living Waters of Mandalore In the era of the New Republic, the Children of the Watch conducted the initiation ritual in water close to a Mandalorian covert as a way to bring Ragnar into their fold. However, this ceremony faced an unexpected disruption when a Dinosaur turtle launched an attack. Not long after this, Din Djarin underwent the ritual in the Living Waters located deep within the Mines of Mandalore to atone for the act of removing his helmet. Bo-Katan Kryze, who immersed herself in the Waters while rescuing Djarin after he had fallen into them, was also regarded as redeemed, even though she did not recite the Creed's words herself.
