During the Galactic Civil War, a Human male named Galiir Ac Yandar resided on Talus. He held the position of leader within the Nightstrike Soldier Hegemony (N.S.H.), which was a mercenary group.
Operating on Talus was the Nightstrike Soldier Hegemony, a mercenary organization headed by Galiir Ac Yandar. The N.S.H. aligned itself with the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War, actively participating in the conflict against the Rebel Alliance.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Galiir Ac Yandar aimed to transform his unit into a fully integrated branch of the Imperial armed forces, rather than remaining independent. In 1 ABY, Ac Yandar engaged in negotiations with Imperial Colonel Braedic Ekirk in his office located in Dearic, seeking to establish a new operational status for the Nightstrike Soldier Hegemony. Despite his deep-seated dislike for Galiir, Ekirk recognized the potential value of the N.S.H. as an asset to the Empire. However, these discussions were disrupted when slicers from the anti-Imperial Aggregate Civil Liberties Organization (A.C.L.O.) infiltrated Ac Yandar's computer, planting information that threatened to damage his standing with the Empire. Consequently, Colonel Ekirk deployed a spacer to attack the A.C.L.O. office. This spacer was recommended by CorSec officer Dathnaeya Loessin, who sought to evaluate the character of individuals working with both the Rebellion and the Empire. Colonel Ekirk instructed the spacer to eliminate A.C.L.O. terrorists responsible for sabotaging Imperial shipments. Furthermore, Galiir Ac Yandar tasked the spacer with assassinating Leeta Poandeu, the slicer who had compromised his system. Additionally, Galiir Ac Yandar requested the spacer's assistance to Mark Hieks, an N.S.H. covert operative within the A.C.L.O. office, in installing surveillance devices on the A.C.L.O.'s computers. Ultimately, the spacer accomplished all assigned tasks and was rewarded by Galiir Ac Yandar for the provided assistance.
Galiir Ac Yandar was featured as a non-player character in the video game Star Wars Galaxies (2003), a massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts, before it shut down on December 15, 2011. He was introduced as part of the "Crisis of Allegiance" storyline when "Chapter 2: The Talus Incident" was released on August 1, 2006.
