Tol Getelles
Tol Getelles was a male Human Moff who held dominion over the region known as the Antemeridian sector.
Biography
At a diplomatic gathering on Coruscant, Getelles was elevated to the rank of Moff. This event was among the final appearances of Leia Organa during the reign of Emperor Palpatine. Soon after becoming a Moff, Getelles advanced his comrade, Larm, to the position of Admiral, bypassing several more senior officers, and placed him in charge of the military forces within the Antemeridian sector.
Following the collapse of the Galactic Empire, Getelles remained a component of the Imperial Remnant, maintaining his control over the Antemeridian sector. However, he lacked the necessary firepower and resolve to initiate a significant offensive against nearby bases under the control of the New Republic.
In 13 ABY, Seti Ashgad reached out to Getelles, presenting him with an opportunity to seize control of the Meridian sector. The Loronar Corporation would provide weapons to dissenting factions throughout the Meridian sector, aiming to incite uprisings that would fragment the New Republic's forces in the area. Concurrently, Ashgad would unleash a plague, which he guaranteed would exclusively target New Republic personnel. Combined, these occurrences would weaken the New Republic's forces enough for Admiral Larm's forces to conquer the sector.
The arrangement stipulated that Loronar Corporation would be allowed to extract Spook crystals from Nam Chorios within the Meridian sector. These crystals would be used as CCIR control crystals in synthdroids and Needle fighters. Ashgad would receive a portion of the profits, while Getelles would gain access to the Needles.
Getelles' ambition to seize power was thwarted when both Ashgad and Larm met their demise following the intervention of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, and Han Solo. Larm's fleet, under attack from both Republic forces and those commanded by Admiral Daala, retreated to the Antemeridian sector, and the New Republic successfully contained the spread of the plague.
With the Antemeridian sector weakened in the aftermath of Larm's defeat at Nam Chorios, the New Republic capitalized on its advantage, deploying two fleets into the sector. Getelles was unable to repel them, and the Antemeridian sector, along with a substantial amount of adjacent territory, was captured by the New Republic before Admiral Pellaeon brought their advance to a halt.
However, following the conclusion of the Second Galactic Civil War, Getelles remained the Moff of the Antemeridian sector, which was now integrated into the Imperial Remnant. Three years after the war's end, Getelles stood out as one of the few Moffs who supported the Jedi coup that ousted Daala, the increasingly radical Chief of State of the Galactic Alliance, from her position of power.
Getelles had also initiated experiments on Squibs, utilizing drochs in an attempt to discover a method of regaining his youth. The consumption of drochs and the life force they contained enabled the Squibs to rejuvenate themselves. Unbeknownst to Getelles, the Squibs were acting as spies for Jagged Fel, the Head of State of the Imperial Remnant. Admiral Daala also contacted Getelles, seeking to gather followers among the Moffs, as well as her Maw Irregular Fleet, with the intention of seizing control of the Remnant and exacting revenge on those within the Galactic Alliance who had removed her from power. Wishing to prevent Daala from taking over the Remnant, he faked the assassination of Jagged Fel when meeting him on Fel's ship after he revealed he knew about his droch experiences on the Squibs. Although he told Daala he had killed Fel, he had only stunned him before revealing Daala's plan to him.
Getelles rallied his forces and joined Daala and the other rebellious Moffs in the Exodo system. Fel then arrived with forces loyal to him and a fleet of ships from the Empire of the Hand and engaged Daala and the Moffs alongside Getelles' forces.
