Tol Getelles
Tol Getelles held the rank of Moff and was a male Human who governed the Antemeridian sector.
Biography
At a diplomatic event on Coruscant, Getelles was elevated to the position of Moff. This event was among the final ones attended by Leia Organa during the era of Emperor Palpatine. Soon after his promotion, Getelles favored his associate, Larm, by promoting him to Admiral, bypassing other officers, and entrusting him with command of the Antemeridian sector's military forces.
Following the collapse of the Galactic Empire, Getelles remained within the Imperial Remnant, maintaining his authority over the sector. However, he lacked the necessary military strength and resolve to launch a significant offensive against nearby New Republic outposts.
In the year 13 ABY, Seti Ashgad contacted Getelles, presenting him with an opportunity to seize control of the Meridian sector. Loronar Corporation would provide weapons to dissenting factions within the Meridian sector, aiming to incite rebellions and thereby fragment the New Republic's forces in the region. Simultaneously, Ashgad intended to unleash a plague that he assured would selectively target New Republic personnel. These combined actions were designed to weaken the New Republic's military presence, enabling Admiral Larm's forces to conquer the sector.
A component of the agreement stipulated that Loronar Corporation would be permitted to extract Spook crystals from Nam Chorios in Meridian sector, utilizing them as CCIR control crystals within synthdroids and Needle fighters. Ashgad would receive a portion of the profits, while Getelles would gain access to the Needles.
Getelles' ambition to gain power was thwarted when both Ashgad and Larm met their demise following the intervention of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, and Han Solo. Larm's fleet, under attack from both Republic forces and those commanded by Admiral Daala, retreated to the Antemeridian sector, and the New Republic successfully contained the spread of the plague.
After Larm's defeat at Nam Chorios weakened the Antemeridian sector, the New Republic exploited this vulnerability by deploying two fleets into the region. Getelles was unable to prevent their advance, and the New Republic captured the Antemeridian sector, along with much of the surrounding territory, before Admiral Pellaeon halted their progress.
However, after the conclusion of the Second Galactic Civil War, Getelles remained as the Moff of the Antemeridian sector, which was now an integral part of the Imperial Remnant. Three years following the war's end, Getelles stood among the few Moffs who supported the Jedi coup that ousted Daala, the increasingly extremist Chief of State of the Galactic Alliance, from her position.
Getelles had also initiated experiments on Squibs using drochs in an attempt to discover a method for regaining his youth. The consumption of drochs and the life energy they contained allowed the Squibs to rejuvenate. Unbeknownst to Getelles, the Squibs were acting as spies for Jagged Fel, the Head of State of the Imperial Remnant. Admiral Daala also contacted Getelles, seeking to gather supporters among the Moffs, as well as her Maw Irregular Fleet, to seize control of the Remnant and exact revenge on those within the Galactic Alliance who had removed her from power. To prevent Daala from taking over the Remnant, he feigned the assassination of Jagged Fel during a meeting on Fel's ship after Fel revealed his knowledge of Getelles' droch experiments on the Squibs. Although he informed Daala that he had killed Fel, he had only stunned him before exposing Daala's plan to him.
Getelles assembled his forces and joined Daala and the other rebellious Moffs in the Exodo system. Fel then arrived with forces loyal to him and a fleet of ships from the Empire of the Hand and engaged Daala and the Moffs alongside Getelles' forces.
