This vehicle was produced by Kuat Drive Yards for the use of the Galactic Empire. A key difference from the similar HCVw A9 turbo tank was the A9.2's lack of weaponry, rendering it more vulnerable. Circa 9 ABY, several of these vehicles remained in service with an Imperial remnant stationed on Morak.
The HCVw A9.2 juggernaut transport, a creation of Kuat Drive Yards, was characterized as a large, boxy vehicle utilizing ten robust wheels for movement. Its structure was segmented into five distinct sections, including a tapered front cockpit equipped with viewports and a loudhailer. Despite the absence of offensive armaments, the HCVw A9.2 was still classified as a ground assault vehicle due to its substantial armor plating, designed to safeguard occupants during combat scenarios. It bore considerable resemblance to the HCVw A9 turbo tank, another wheeled assault platform manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards.
Drawing inspiration from the turbo tanks employed by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, the Galactic Empire utilized the HCVw A9.2 juggernaut transport for the purpose of transporting cargo and prisoners across challenging terrains.
In 9 ABY, which is five years following the Empire's defeat at Endor, these transports were still operational on Morak as part of its Imperial remnants forces. A minimum of four Juggernauts were positioned at the Imperial refinery located there, including Juggernaut Three, Juggernaut Four, and Juggernaut Five. All of these were destroyed during a mission to Morak that was carried out by Din Djarin, Carasynthia Dune, Migs Mayfeld, Fennec Shand, and Boba Fett.
