A headquarters for the Separatist scientist Istan Zaly was located in a structure on the planet Ringo Vinda. The archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, a rogue individual, once journeyed to this headquarters, but her progress within the structure was limited. She later stated that she was aware of the traps' deadly nature, but at the time lacked the motivation to explore them further. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, the Sith Lord Darth Vader visited the headquarters alongside Aphra and the Sith assassin where he obtained the Zaly Shield. During their time at the headquarters, they were confronted by the Droid Crush Pirates of Bestoon and the droid Gee-Ninety, who were seeking vengeance against Vader.
