The Zaly Shield, which is alternatively referred to as the Kyberite shield, constituted a formidable, ancient shield. It was constructed from kyberite and brought into existence by the Separatist scientist Doctor Istan Zaly. The Sith Lord Darth Vader, subsequent to the loss of command over his Force abilities as a consequence of a Force Wave, was guided by the renegade archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra to Zaly's headquarters located on Ringo Vinda sometime between the years of 3 ABY and 4 ABY, ultimately gaining possession of the shield.
