Jaun

As a major within the New Republic's military throughout the Galactic Civil War, Jaun operated within General Hera Syndulla's battle group. Following the battle group's defeat of the Galactic Empire's blockades at the Nythlide Array in 5 ABY, Syndulla intended to leave two carriers under Jaun's command to assist the militia there, while Syndulla continued her hunt for the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing.

During a New Republic High Command meeting, Syndulla told Admiral Gial Ackbar about her plans for Jaun's carriers and the Nythlide Array's situation, after he inquired. The carriers were initially slated to reunite with Syndulla's forces after the Nythlide operations concluded. However, upon discovering that the 204th had committed several genocides on Imperial worlds that had broken away from the Empire, the general changed course, redirecting the carriers to search for any remaining survivors.
