Jothal Gablerone, a male human, held the rank of captain within the Galactic Empire. Specifically, he was the squadron leader of Squadron Four in the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. Moff [Coovern] sent him to the fighter wing initially to take over for Colonel Shakara Nuress, the commanding officer, but she wouldn't relinquish her position despite her advanced age. Following the Battle of Endor, Gablerone remained a loyalist to the Empire. His life ended during the Attack on Cerberon, where he commanded his squadron and was killed.
Alexander Freed's 2019 novel, Alphabet Squadron, marked the initial mention of Jothal Gablerone. His first actual appearance occurred in Shadow Fall: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, the sequel to the aforementioned novel, also penned by Alexander Freed and published in 2020.
