Kaim, a male Twi'lek Jedi Master, was a young member of the Jedi Order who served during the last several decades of the Galactic Republic.
Being a Force-sensitive Twi'lek, Kaim underwent education in the Force through the Jedi Order. He eventually achieved the rank of Jedi Master before the Separatist Crisis, which troubled the Galactic Senate in its final decade. At this time, Master Kaim was assigned to the Coruscant Jedi Temple, where he served as a skilled diplomat and an appointed instructor at the Temple's academy.
As the Clone Wars began between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Kaim stayed on Coruscant to continue his teaching duties at the academy. However, when Senator Meena Tills from Dac was taken hostage at the Galactic City Spaceport, Master Kaim was sent to negotiate her release, along with the other transport passengers held by the terrorists. Working alongside Senate Head of Public Affairs Mar Rugeyan and Coruscant Security Force Captain Jaller Obrim, Kaim prepared to enter the area of the spaceport controlled by the hostage takers. After being briefed by members of Omega Squad, Master Kaim agreed to place a strip-cam within the room so that the troopers could monitor the hostage situation, leaving his lightsaber with them for the mission.
Once inside, Master Kaim confronted the Korunnai terrorists, trying to convince them to release Joz and Cira Larutur, an elderly couple hailing from Garqi. Soon after Kaim planted the active strip-cam, the terrorists noticed it and became enraged, shooting Master Kaim in the face at close range. In a terrorist act, the Korunnai men attached explosives to Kaim's violated body and threw it back toward the Republic forces stationed outside the terminal chamber. RC-8015 of Omega Squad dove onto Kaim's body and the bomb before it could detonate, preventing any further casualties. While Kaim's body was destroyed in the blast, the Commando was shielded by his armor.
