The powerbase of Kallig came into being after Zash's, being headed by Lord Kallig, who was Darth Zash's previous apprentice, and would become Darth Nox.
The powerbase was made up of Sith, members from both the Imperial Military and Reclamation Service, and it served the rebuilt Sith Empire during the times of the Cold War and the Galactic War, all under the authority of the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge and its Dark Council member.
The powerbase of Lord Kallig started when Kallig was still an apprentice under Darth Zash. During this time, the young apprentice took control of the Cult of the Screaming Blade away from its leader, a rogue Sith Lord known as Paladius.
Following the death of Darth Zash, her apprentice, Lord Kallig, inherited her resources and followers, forming a powerbase that operated under the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge.
Soon after this powerbase was established, Darth Thanaton, who was Lord Kallig's superior, ordered it to be destroyed because of its connection to Darth Zash. Despite this, the powerbase survived the attempt to eliminate it, leading to a frustrated Darth Thanaton, who by then was a member of the Dark Council, to declare a Kaggath against the powerbase, which was subordinate to his Sphere, and its leader, Lord Kallig. By this point, Kallig had greatly expanded the powerbase, gaining powerful allies within the Imperial Military, most notably Moff Valion Pyron, and finishing the Silencer project, a superweapon originally conceived by the long-dead Darth Mekhis.
Lord Kallig was victorious in the majority of the major confrontations with Thanaton during the Kaggath. The two eventually dueled in public on Corellia before both Sith and Imperials. When it became clear that Kallig had gained the upper hand, Darth Thanaton ran to Korriban, seeking assistance from the Dark Council. Kallig pursued Thanaton to Korriban, fighting his way to the Dark Council chamber where Thanaton was appealing to the Dark Lords, who were unreceptive to his pleas. The two battled once more, and Kallig defeated Thanaton decisively. Darth Mortis executed Thanaton and immediately offered Kallig Thanaton's seat on the Dark Council.
Kallig was elevated to the rank of Darth and given the name Darth Nox. With Nox's ascension to the Dark Council, the powerbase was dissolved and fully integrated into the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge.
