Kaxx, a Weequay native, resided in the village of Peka located on the planet of Batuu. In the vicinity of 379 BBY, his comrade Tuntis met his death at the hands of a salmaca, a massive lizard-esque beast that was pillaging Peka. Driven by vengeance, Kaxx journeyed to the salmaca's cave, but Rooper Nitani, a Jedi Padawan, intervened before he could slay the creature.
Living in the Peka village on the world Batuu was Kaxx, a Weequay. He and Tuntis, a fellow Peka inhabitant, were friends, and he was an older gentleman by approximately 379 BBY. In that year or thereabouts, a salmaca that had been plundering Peka homes for treasures to adorn its nest killed Tuntis.
Later on, Rooper Nitani, a Jedi Padawan, arrived in Peka during her Jedi Trials and consented to aid the villagers with their predicament. Kaxx, who was getting ready to go to the salmaca's cave with a small group of villagers, volunteered to guide her. Upon reaching the cave, Nitani persuaded the villagers to remain outside and guard the entrance, as she had sensed Kaxx's rage and hunger for vengeance and understood that he posed a risk to himself and others.
The villagers eventually entered the cave and fired blasters at the salmaca in an attempt to eliminate it. Nevertheless, Nitani employed her Master's plasma shield, which she had discovered within the cave, to deflect the blaster fire. Witnessing this, Kaxx began to express his surprise, but the salmaca charged at him before he could finish his sentence. As Nitani utilized the shield to safeguard the villagers, she commanded them to depart and threatened to let the salmaca eat them if they lingered. Kaxx and the other villagers heeded her warning and fled the cavern.
By 379 BBY, Kaxx, the Weequay, was elderly. The passing of Tuntis filled him with anger, and he desired retribution.
Kaxx sported a hat and carried a blaster, which he employed to assault the salmaca.
Kaxx made an appearance in the short story "Shield of the Jedi," penned by George Mann and featured in the 2023 young-adult collection The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life as a component of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia endeavor.
