Plot summary

Arriving at Kullgroon

The group arrives at the Wastelands of Kullgroon

While in orbit around the planet Kullgroon, Lando Calrissian was in the process of recording an entry for his holomessage series known as Calrissian Chronicles. However, he was disturbed by numerous inquiries from Kristiss concerning these chronicles. L3-37 intervened in their dispute to alert them that Imperial patrol ships had targeted them. Lando deactivated the Millennium Falcon's systems to make it appear as derelict space debris. Kullgroon's gravitational pull then drew the Falcon towards the planet's surface. Lando skillfully prevented the freighter from crashing and successfully navigated them to the Wastelands of Kullgroon.

Traveling through the wasteland

Lando questioning the mission.

After disembarking from the Falcon in the wastelands, the group began their journey to locate Rythus, Kristiss's father. Another argument erupted between Lando and Kristiss, but L3 once again interrupted them, suggesting they split up to identify more exit routes, a proposal to which both Lando and Kristiss agreed. Later, Lando contacted L3, inquiring if they should abandon the mission and leave her behind. L3 vehemently opposed this idea and informed Lando that she had accessed the Imperial network, revealing Kristiss's capture by stormtroopers. Despite Lando's renewed attempts to persuade L3 to abandon the mission, she remained resolute. L3 pointed out to Lando that rescuing Kristiss would make for a compelling addition to the Calrissian Chronicles.

As Lando ventured forth, pondering the situation he had found himself in, he was ambushed by a band of outlaws who opened fire on him. Lando retaliated, eliminating them all while boasting about the origins of his cape. However, starfighters then began attacking Lando, forcing him to retreat into a cave. Fortunately for him, a ship was present in the cave, which Lando piloted past the attacking starfighters before ultimately being shot down.

The job goes bad

L3 and the other droids are about to be turned to metal

Inside an Imperial [prison](/article/prison], Kristiss was confined, guarded by stormtroopers. Using a comlink, she attempted to contact Lando, informing the droid that she couldn't reach him. L3 responded with shock upon realizing where she was being taken. Ahead, she saw a kiln where droids were being destroyed and then discarded, prompting her to break free and flee as stormtroopers pursued her. Back in her cell, a stormtrooper ordered Kristiss's cell to be opened and for her to be escorted away by another stormtrooper.

Deep within the wastelands of Kullgroon, Lando Calrissian was forcibly brought into a city plaza by two individuals. A large crowd was chanting the name "Batalla" as Lando was bound to a wall. A figure silenced the crowd and welcomed Lando to the wasteland.
