Functioning as the command vessel for Corona Squadron, it played a significant role in the pivotal battle over Endor, where it became the initial target destroyed by the second Death Star.
With a length of 1,200 meters, the Liberty conformed to the typical dimensions of an MC80 Star Cruiser. Its original armament included turbolaser batteries, ion cannons, and tractor beam projectors.
Compared to the majority of starships within the Alliance Fleet, the Liberty was significantly larger and more advanced.
