Mari Amithest
Mari Amithest, a human female strong in the Force, was a child within the ranks of the Jedi Order during the twilight of the Galactic Republic era (the last years). Growing up at the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant, Amithest started training in the ways of the Force and lightsaber combat, alongside fellow Jedi younglings as part of the Bear Clan. In the year 22 BBY, while honing their lightsaber skills under the watchful eye of Grand Master Yoda, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi paid a visit to Amithest's class, seeking the wisdom of the ancient Jedi Master to aid in his search for the planet Kamino.
The Grand Master opted to leverage Kenobi's query as an exercise to sharpen his students' problem-solving abilities. J. K. Burtola, a classmate of Amithest, cleverly figured out that the location of the Kaminoan homeworld had been intentionally removed from the Jedi Archives.
Biography
Mari Amithest, a child born sometime between 30 BBY and 26 BBY, lived during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Having joined the Jedi Order when very young, Amithest became a member of the Bear Clan—a group of younglings who trained together at the Jedi Temple on the planet of Coruscant. In 22 BBY, Amithest and the other members of the Bear Clan were practicing with training lightsabers under the guidance of Jedi Grand Master Yoda in one of the Temple's training rooms when Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi interrupted their session to ask Yoda for assistance.
Yoda paused the lesson, and Amithest and the others greeted Kenobi, who explained he was searching for the planet Kamino but couldn't locate it within the Jedi Archives. Yoda then instructed Liam, one of Amithest's classmates, to dim the classroom by lowering the blinds so that Kenobi could display a holographic star map and point out where the planet should have been. The experienced Jedi Master then asked the students for their thoughts on why the planet was missing. Ultimately, J. K. Burtola, another of Amithest's classmates, proposed that the planet's information had been erased from the archives. Pleased with this response, Yoda stepped away from the younglings to confer briefly with Kenobi about this concerning idea.
Equipment
During their training sessions with Yoda, Amithest wore tan Jedi robes, a brown belt, and a gray training helmet. They used a training lightsaber to practice deflecting simulated blaster bolts.
