Matt Michnovetz

Michnovetz discussing The Clone Wars Legacy Matt Michnovetz served as the principal writer for the sixth and seventh seasons of the animated television program Star Wars: The Clone Wars. His writing credits include the episodes "The Citadel," "Counterattack," "Citadel Rescue," "Darkness on Umbara," "The General," "Plan of Dissent," and "Carnage of Krell." He also penned a story arc spanning four episodes centered on Cad Bane and Boba Fett, as well as another four-episode story focusing on the Bad Batch alongside Yoda which was set on Kashyyyk; this latter project, however, remained incomplete due to the show's termination. Furthermore, Michnovetz collaborated with Aïda Mashaka Croal on a four-part narrative arc featuring Maul, which similarly went unfinished when the series was canceled. This narrative was subsequently adapted into a four-part comic book series by Jeremy Barlow, titled Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir.

In 2008, Michnovetz began his tenure at LucasArts, where he contributed to the development of the ultimately unreleased video game Star Wars: 1313.

Beginning with its second season, Michnovetz also contributed scripts to multiple episodes of Star Wars Rebels, with "The Lost Commanders" marking his debut. He also co-created the narrative for the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order alongside Aaron Contreras and Stig Asmussen. The team received a nomination in the "Narrative" category at the 16th British Academy Games Awards.

Presently, he holds the position of story editor and staff writer for the Disney+ series Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
