The Metal Clan, a group situated on Bri'n, stood in opposition to the female alien known as Th'er. Their objective was to destroy her trees. Following unsuccessful talks with Th'er, the Metal Clan pursued her and the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, briefly encircling them before their escape on an Eta-class shuttle.
In the time leading up to the Crisis on Naboo, the Metal Clan aimed to eliminate the trees located on Bri'n that belonged to the priestess Th'er. However, Bri'n's laws stipulated that they could only destroy the trees with Th'er's permission or by killing her. Shortly after, the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn arrived on Bri'n to assist Th'er in negotiations with the Metal Clan. These talks broke down, resulting in the Metal Clan leader and his forces chasing the pair into the woods. As they surrounded Th'er and Jinn, their leader issued a threat to Th'er. Jinn, however, had previously instructed his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi to arrive in their Eta-class shuttle. As the Metal Clan leader gave the order to capture them, Jinn used a Force jump to board the shuttle with Th'er, and they successfully fled.
