Bri'n

Bri'n was a planet covered in forests, possessing a breathable atmosphere and a diverse range of plant life and animal species. The planet was inhabited by a horned humanoid race. In the year 37 BBY, the Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn, along with his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi, journeyed to Bri'n. Their mission was to mediate discussions between Th'er, the Priestess of Wood, and the Metal Clan, a faction opposed to her who sought the destruction of the planet's trees. Following the breakdown of negotiations, the Jedi were compelled to evacuate Th'er to the safety of Coruscant, advising her to seek assistance from allies beyond her world.

Description

Bri'n was a land-based planet abundant in trees, featuring an atmosphere suitable for human respiration and the native sentient population. Its wildlife encompassed lizards and reptavians, both reptile-like creatures. Besides the presence of skyscrapers, Bri'n boasted trees that held great value for its inhabitants.

History

Qui-Gon Jinn flees from the Metal Clan with Th'er.

A dispute erupted in 37 BBY between Th'er, the Priestess of Wood and her followers, who championed the preservation of the planet's trees, and the Metal Clan, who aimed to eradicate them. Consequently, the Jedi Order dispatched Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Bri'n with the hope of achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The talks collapsed, leading the Metal Clan to pursue the priestess and Jinn through a forest. They were then rescued by an Eta-class shuttle operated by Kenobi. Despite her reluctance to abandon her trees to the Metal Clan, Jinn was compelled to bring Th'er to the safety of Coruscant. Although Th'er accused the Jedi of acting cowardly by leaving the planet, Grand Master Yoda later assured Jinn that his decision was necessary. While on Coruscant, Jinn advised Th'er to seek out allies to support her against the Metal Clan, who had already secured their own powerful off-world backers. Despite the priestess's hesitation, the Jedi Master successfully persuaded her that it was for the benefit of her world.

Inhabitants

Many members of the Metal Clan belonged to a horned species.

Bri'n was home to a horned humanoid species, including individuals like Th'er and various members of the Metal Clan, such as its leader. Th'er advocated for the preservation of the planet and its flora in their current state, whereas the Metal Clan sought to destroy Bri'n's trees. The clan asserted their intention to do so regardless of Th'er's opposition and issued a death threat against her.
