Mynock leather

Mynock leather was a kind of leather that was white and got its name from the mynocks, which are parasitic creatures. Marda Ro, the Evereni who founded the pirate organization that would eventually become the Nihil, had a pair of staves wrapped in white mynock leather; she acquired these between 382 BBY and approximately 381 BBY.

Sometime around that later year, Ro brandished one of the staves against Fori Nagor, a Twi'lek, on the planet of Dantooine, after Nagor followed her from a public house located in the world's oldest settlement. Later on, at some point after 379 BBY, Ro used the staves once more during a friendly sparring match with Vika Faer, who was also Evereni. Ro made reference to mynock leather when discussing her staves in a message that she recorded for her descendants. By 252 BBY, Marchion Ro, her great-great-grandson, had listened to her journal as a young man, and that included the message in which she mentioned mynock leather.
