Namman Cha, a Human male, yearned to become a Dark Jedi within the Galactic Empire. His ultimate ambition was to ascend to the title of Dark Lord of the Sith, a goal he believed attainable through the acquisition of ancient artifacts, notably the Codex of Tython. Known for his imposing stature and ruthless combat style, he showed no mercy in battle. Driven by intense hatred, he mastered the art of wielding a shoto, a lightsaber with a shorter blade.
Much to Namman Cha's displeasure, the Emperor, also known as Palpatine, occasionally tasked him with collaborating with the Imperial Forces. One such instance involved the Dark Jedi assisting the Imperial Security Bureau in exposing a Rebel smuggling ring. While observing the insurgents' movements near the planet of Naboo, Cha uncovered evidence implicating Corellian pilot Dash Rendar in the scheme. Although the Dark Jedi's initial inclination was to eliminate the traitor, he was instructed to first identify the smuggler's network of contacts. Cha dispatched an undercover operative to trail Rendar, while he, accompanied by several of his Sith Shadow followers, attempted to infiltrate Rendar's starship, the YT-2400 light freighter named Outrider. Despite the smuggler's security measures thwarting their plans, the ISB operative successfully identified Rendar's Rebel contact as Major Coret Bhan. Satisfied with the information, Cha instructed the agent to continue following the smuggler's vessel to uncover further illicit activities.
Not long before the Battle of Talus, the Supreme Commander himself, Darth Vader, entrusted the Dark Jedi Cha with the mission of discovering and destroying the Rebel base located on Talus. While investigating insurgent operations within the Corellian system as per the Dark Lord's directives, he launched an ambush on a meeting of Rebel agents at the Corellian spaceport. Unbeknownst to Cha, his adversaries were prepared for the attack, thanks to prior intelligence gathering. The Dark Jedi and his subordinates were surprised to encounter such a significant number of Rebels, along with several CorSec officers, present at the spaceport simultaneously. After suffering the defeat of several of his followers, Cha ordered a retreat, escaping with a handful of his adepts.

During a mission to the planet Dathomir, the Dark Jedi Cha became intrigued by the Nightsister named Kyrisa, who had mastered the art of animal friendship. Recognizing the unique nature of her ability to control Dathomir's creatures, he believed that the witch could become a valuable asset to the Emperor and sought to recruit her to their cause. However, before Cha could reach Kyrisa, she was banished from the planet by Clan mother Gethzerion for a failed attempt to seize control of the clan. It required considerable time for Cha to locate her, eventually discovering that Kyrisa had crash-landed on the isolated Outer Rim world of Hoth. The Dark Jedi contacted one of his Imperial agents to assist him in the search for the Nightsister, and they convened on Hoth, agreeing to divide the search area into grids and maintain communication.

During his search efforts, Cha discovered that he was not alone in his pursuit of Kyrisa. His longtime adversary, the Jedi Knight Rachi Sitra, was also seeking the Nightsister, aided by Rebels from a small local outpost. After slaying a native Hoth hog, the dark warrior was spotted by one of the Rebels and, following a brief exchange, launched an attack on his rival. However, the Rebel managed to disarm Cha, knocking the lightsaber from his hand. As the Dark Jedi lunged to retrieve it, he conceded that while he would enjoy killing the Rebel, locating the Nightsister was his top priority, and time was of the essence. Cha spared the Rebel and resumed his search for Kyrisa, soon picking up her trail by tracking her beasts. The Dark Jedi encountered and battled several wampas, ultimately finding the Nightsister and, after a fierce lightsaber duel, convincing her to join him.

Namman Cha possessed considerable skill in lightsaber combat, frequently employing dual lightsabers to demonstrate his mastery of Jar'Kai. He was also capable of generating Force lightning and was proficient in numerous other Force powers, including Force push.
During his missions, Namman Cha utilized a modified Belbullab-22 starfighter known as the Sithspawn.
