The Nanth'ri Trade Route, often shortened to Nanth'ri Route, functioned as a trade route that linked the Colonies' Exodeen system with the Mid Rim's Nanth'ri system. Following its departure from the planet Denon en route to the Outer Rim world Omereth, the vessel Desert Jewel utilized the Hydian Way to reach the planet Exodeen. From Exodeen, the plan was to use the Nanth'ri Route to get to Nanth'ri, which would then provide multiple avenues for reaching Omereth.
The Nanth'ri Route, alternatively called the Nanth'ri Trade Route, was a hyperspace route that connected Exodeen, a planet within the Exodeen system of the Colonies region along the Hydian Way super-hyperroute, to Nanth'ri, a celestial object situated in the Nanth'ri system of the Mid Rim Territories.
Within the Colonies region, the route originated from Exodeen and extended to the celestial body Quellor, a junction point with the Quellor Run. Subsequently, the Nanth'ri Trade Route proceeded into the Inner Rim Territories, reaching the Prindaar system gas giant Antar and then the celestial object Lonera. Transitioning into the Expansion Region, the hyperspace route traversed near the celestial body Gyndine, the planet Kerev Doi, the planet Mimban of the Circarpous system, the planet Batuv, and the celestial object Attahox. Ultimately, the Nanth'ri Route arrived at the Mid Rim Territories and Nanth'ri. During its course, the route entered both the Quellor sector, where Quellor was located, and the Circarpous sector, the location of Gyndine and Mimban.
During 0 ABY, Rebel Alliance agents Luke Skywalker and Nakari Kelen rescued Drusil Bephorin, a givin cryptologist, from the Galactic Empire's control on the Inner Rim planet Denon. The pair's objective was to transport Bephorin aboard their starship, the Desert Jewel, to the Outer Rim Territories world Omereth to reunite the givin with her family. Skywalker and Kelen intended to access the Nanth'ri Trade Route at Exodeen via the Hydian Way and then journey to Nanth'ri using the aforementioned hyperspace route, which would provide a wider array of options for continuing to Omereth.
Upon detecting several Imperial starships, including a Star Destroyer and heavy cruiser, the Desert Jewel promptly entered hyperspace soon after reaching the Exodeen system. Subsequently, the Jewel proceeded along the Nanth'ri Trade Route towards the Nanth'ri system, bypassing five planets along the way. However, upon reaching the Nanth'ri system, they were ambushed by a small fleet of pirates. The Desert Jewel successfully defended itself, escaped, and then charted a new course that included the Daalang system.
The Nanth'ri Trade Route made its debut in the 2015 novel Heir to the Jedi, penned by Kevin Hearne.
