Quellor, a planetoid, existed within the Quellor sector, residing at the intersection of the Colonies region and the Slice. Its position was pinpointed at coordinates N-12 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This celestial body was located along the Nanth'ri Trade Route, specifically between Exodeen, its endpoint, and the gas giant known as Antar. Moreover, Quellor served as the final destination of the Quellor Run, which provided a link to the planet Cato Neimoidia and, ultimately, the planet Commenor.
A TIE pilot from the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing considered Quellor their home; their family, living in an apartment there, displayed an Imperial flag. However, the New Republic seized control of it by 5 ABY. The aforementioned pilot of the 204th, in a conversation with Starfighter Commander Wyl Lark of the New Republic, attributed their inability to return home to this very capture.

The initial mention of Quellor within the current Star Wars canon occurred in the thirty-first issue of the magazine series Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, published by De Agostini around August 5, 2015. Before its inclusion in canon, Quellor originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, with its first mention in the Rebellion Era Sourcebook, a publication by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game in 2001. Its debut appearance was in "Constant Spirit," a short story authored by Jennifer Heddle for the 145th issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine series, released on October 22, 2013.
