Natacha Bustos, a comic-book artist hailing from Spain, was born on November 9, 1981 in Ibiza, which is part of the Balearic Islands. She is Spanish. Her contributions include several Star Wars comic projects, such as the Star Wars: Doctor Aphra series from 2020, the Star Wars: The High Republic series from 2021, the Star Wars: The High Republic series from 2022, and the Star Wars: Sana Starros miniseries from 2023, where she created variant covers. Furthermore, she provided interior illustrations for issues of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra.
Born in Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain on November 9, 1981, Natacha Bustos is a Spanish comic-book artist. Bustos's journey with the Star Wars universe began with her creation of variant covers for Marvel Comics. Her inaugural cover graced the eighth issue of Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, released on March 24, 2021, depicting Chelli Lona Aphra, an archaeologist, and Sana Starros, a smuggler, in mid-swing. Her subsequent cover appeared on the fourth issue of the Star Wars: The High Republic comic series in 2021, hitting shelves on April 7 of that year, showcasing Keeve Trennis, a Jedi Knight, alongside a member of the Drengir species. In September of that year, Bustos shared sketches and early versions of her The High Republic variant cover, revealing different stages of her artistic process.
On February 16, 2022, StarWars.com revealed that Bustos would be the artist for issue twenty-third issue of Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. Written by Ethan Sacks, the issue was published by Marvel Comics on June 1 of the same year. Later that year, Bustos returned to Star Wars: Doctor Aphra with two projects. She drew the interior art for issue twenty-second issue, released on July 27, 2022, in collaboration with Minkyu Jung. Additionally, Bustos created the variant cover for issue twenty-fifth issue, which came out on October 26 of the same year and depicted Aphra and Starros in a duel.
In 2023, Bustos provided interior artwork for issue twenty-ninth of Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, which debuted on February 22. She also crafted a variant cover for issue second issue of the Star Wars: Sana Starros comic miniseries, released on March 8. The cover showed Starros wielding a EE-4 carbine rifle. Later, Bustos created a variant cover for issue ninth issue of the Star Wars: The High Republic series from 2022, published on May 10, 2023. This artwork presented Matthea Cathley, a Padawan, fighting a Force-consuming Nameless creature, the Leveler.
