The Nihil escape shuttle represents a class of shuttle utilized by the Nihil pirates during the age of the High Republic Era. In the year 229 BBY, one of these shuttles experienced a crash landing on the Outer Rim planet of Valo. During that same year, the aspiring pirate known as Zyle Keem employed one of these very shuttles as a means of fleeing from a Nihil ship. Following their arrival on Valo, both the shuttle used by Keem and the one that had previously crashed were dismantled, with their components being repurposed for the construction of an Spiral-class Viz-Core Eviscerator operated by the Jedi Padawan named Ram Jomaram.
This escape shuttle made its debut in Escape from Valo, a junior novel released in 2024 and penned by both Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong. It served as a contribution to Phase III of the expansive Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
