Pellastrallas, a planet, resided within the Pellastrallas system. This system was situated within the Agarix sector, which itself was located in the Western Reaches region of the Mid Rim. The planet's surface was characterized by mountain ranges, which served as the habitat for the arqet. The arqet are aggressive, warm-blooded predators that employ camouflage – their skin changes color based on the amount of solar radiation they absorb – to ambush their prey in their rocky environment. Among the arqet's prey were the smaller Ixzinian rock ram and the Uthori breix; these creatures originated from the Ixzinia system and the Uthor system, respectively.
On 13:4:18, a date, the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News mentioned Pellastrallas, the homeworld of the arqet, while covering a rampage by an arqet on the moon of Nar Shaddaa. The planet's name was incorrectly spelled "Pellastrallus" in the report. Additionally, a holobrochure entry for the Tagge Holographic Museum on Chandrila, dedicated to the arqet and available during the reign of the Galactic Empire, also made reference to Pellastrallas.
The 1994 sourcebook Creatures of the Galaxy, released by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, featured Pellastrallas. Rick D. Stuart penned the section of the book that included the planet. HoloNet News Vol. 531 #52, an in-universe representation of the HoloNet News crafted by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens and published on the HoloNet News website on April 18, 2002, erroneously spelled the planet's name as "Pellastrallus," a mistake that also appeared in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia. The reference book The Essential Atlas from 2009 indicated that the Pellastrallas system, and consequently the planet, was situated in grid square K-18.
