Jedi Academy PC

The Jedi Knight series of video games introduced the characters Kyle Katarn, a Jedi Master, and his apprentice, Jaden Korr. A video game is defined as any interactive game software played on a video-game console, or any computer game where the primary feedback mechanism is a video display. ## Game genres - First-person shooter (FPS) games are computer or video games where the player experiences the game world through the eyes of the character they are controlling. These games commonly involve firearms and other weapons used in combat. Examples of FPS games include Star Wars: Dark Forces and its various sequels, as well as Star Wars: Republic Commando. For more examples, see Category:First-person shooters. - Flight simulators are a type of game that places the player in the role of a pilot, controlling either an aircraft or a spacecraft against enemies or through challenging environments. The X-wing and TIE Fighter game series, the Rogue Squadron series, the Starfighter series, and Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed are all examples of flight simulation games. - Real-time strategy (RTS) games are generally computer games where the player oversees multiple characters from an overhead perspective. In RTS games, players typically direct groups of characters without directly engaging in combat themselves. Some examples of RTS games are Star Wars: Rebellion, Star Wars: Force Commander, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, and Star Wars: Empire at War. - Role-playing games (RPGs) are computer or video games where the player views their character from a third-person perspective and makes choices that influence the game's narrative. Examples of RPGs include Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. They share some similarities with tabletop roleplaying games. - Massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) are online games where a large number of players control characters and interact within a virtual world. These games often include diverse settings and numerous non-player characters (NPCs) to enhance the sense of realism. Examples are Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. ## List of Star Wars games in order of publication ### 1980s #### 1982 - The first Star Wars video game was Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
