Pooba were a sentient species native to the galaxy, characterized by their bipedal stance. Their bodies were covered in a coat of blue furry hair, and their eyes displayed a diverse range of hues. Within this species, two notable individuals, Nubs and Barabo, distinguished themselves within the ranks of the Jedi Order. During the High Republic Era, Nubs served as a Jedi youngling, while Barabo achieved the rank of Jedi Master. The Pooba communicated through the language known as Poobian.
The Pooba were a sentient species that walked on two legs and possessed notably large, furry ears. A covering of furry blue hair adorned their bodies, complemented by eyes that exhibited a spectrum of colors, including blue and green. They also possessed considerable physical power, demonstrated by their ability to grasp and hold multiple large rocks. While younger members of the species appeared smaller in comparison to other bipedal species, Pooba had the capacity to attain significant size as they matured. The language used by this blue-furred species for communication was Poobian.
During the High Republic Era, the Jedi Order included Nubs, a Jedi youngling. In 232 BBY, Nubs, along with other young trainees, was stationed on the planet Tenoo to continue his Jedi training. While exploring an ancient Jedi temple alongside Grand Master Yoda, Nubs came across a depiction of Jedi Master Barabo, who was also a member of the Pooba species, and subsequently discovered their lightsaber. Later on, Nubs encountered an adult Pooba named Zeephoz.
