Preigo was a Dug of the male persuasion, a circus master who ran Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder during the era of the Clone Wars. Preigo and his troupe of performers led a nomadic existence, journeying to various planets to put on shows for those weary from the ongoing conflict.
As a Dug, Preigo was the leader and ringmaster of his very own circus. His circus featured a variety of performers, including acrobats, clowns, and exotic creatures. At one point, his circus found itself on the planet of Florrum, where they put on a show for a gang of Weequay pirates. While this wasn't the first time Preigo had performed for them, he was wary of the Weequay, especially after they had decapitated one of his performers during a previous engagement. In 20 BBY, Preigo made another trip to Florrum after striking a special deal to perform again for Hondo Ohnaka. His previous visit had been quite unpleasant, as one of his artists had been decapitated by one of Hondo's pirates. Preigo was anxious to put on a good show and impress Hondo, fearing the consequences of failure. En route to Hondo's base, he encountered five circus acrobats who immediately demonstrated their talents. Impressed by their artistry, Preigo hired the group, unaware that these acrobats were actually Jedi Initiates on a mission to rescue Padawan Ahsoka Tano.
During the performance, the Younglings took action, rescuing Ahsoka and creating a diversion. This caused significant chaos, and Preigo, fearing Hondo's reaction, did not hesitate to act. After the Jedi disrupted the show for the circus performers, Preigo quickly launched his ship and fled Florrum to escape the pirates' wrath.
Priego was a male Dug showman who stood at a height of 1 meter, equivalent to 3 feet and 3 inches. He possessed gray hair, purple eyes, and gray skin. He proved to be a capable manager of his own circus. Preigo was known as an arrogant and perfectionistic Dug, who enjoyed making grand, dramatic entrances. He would often ride into the ring atop a trained Narglatch. However, he failed to realize that the five "acrobats" he encountered on his way to Hondo's pirate base were actually Jedi younglings on a mission to rescue Ahsoka Tano. Once the Jedi revealed their true identities, Preigo and his crew hastily departed the premises in fear, determined to avoid the same fate that had befallen one of Preigo's performers during their previous visit.
Preigo served as the primary showman for his traveling circus. Additionally, he possessed considerable skill in the art of negotiation.
Preigo made his debut appearance in "Bound for Rescue," which was the fourth episode of the fifth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. His voice was provided by Stephen Stanton.
