Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder

Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder, alternatively called the Travelling World of Wonder, was a mobile intergalactic circus spectacle managed by the Dug entertainer Preigo. During the time of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka was an avid spectator of the shows the troupe would perform for him on the planet Florrum. In the year 20 BBY, a team of Jedi younglings masquerading as acrobats integrated themselves with the performers during one of these visits with the intention of saving Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, who had been captured by Ohnaka. The performance devolved into disarray and is now remembered as one of the most unorganized events in the circus's history.

Description

Preigo, the owner and ringmaster of the Travelling World of Wonder.

Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder, also known as the Travelling World of Wonder, was a circus consisting of a company of entertainers and performers that journeyed throughout the galaxy to put on various shows. The performers included Twi'lek acrobats, Aleena tumblers, and Gamorrean clowns. Performers donned masks and outfits that resembled various creatures, such as the reptilian rancors and the mammalian gundarks.

The leader of the carnival, Dug showman and ringmaster Preigo, possessed a variety of creatures that were featured in the attraction. These creatures encompassed the feline narglatchs, amphibious fambaas, quadrapedal dalgos, and avian convorees. To traverse the galaxy, they made use of the YV-865 Aurore-class freighter Gambol, which had the name of the carnival painted on its side in one of the writing systems of the Huttese language.

History

The Animal Instincts perform for Hondo Ohnaka

During the time of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Preigo's circus traveled with the intention of easing the traumatic memories of the soldiers who fought on both sides. Preigo's circus had performed multiple times for the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka and his gang at their base of operations located on the Outer Rim Territories planet Florrum. The pirates had a reputation for reacting negatively when they disliked the performances. Around 20 BBY, during one performance for Ohnaka, the pirate became dissatisfied with a particular act and killed all the performers in that segment. On another occasion, they beheaded one of Preigo's performers.

In that year, Ohnaka's gang captured the Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. At this time, the circus was on its way to Hondo's complex for a show. A clan of Jedi younglings, including Petro, Zatt, Gungi, Katooni, and Byph, journeyed to the planet to rescue Tano, infiltrating the circus by posing as acrobats. They utilized their Force powers to execute tricks that earned them positions, and their act became officially known as the Animal Instincts, with each of the younglings being given a costume. After reaching the complex, the Animal Instincts convinced an drunk Ohnaka to participate in their act, giving Katooni the opportunity to steal Tano's lightsabers and set her free. The group of Jedi then escaped and discarded their masks. Fearing that Ohnaka would kill him, Preigo fled, abandoning many of his acts. The event is now remembered as one of the most chaotic performances in the circus's history.
