A terrifying Trandoshan male bounty hunter named Rarsk committed a horrific act on the planet of Dantooine, incinerating an entire village. During the era known as the Cold War, he secured backing from the Hutt crime lord Suudaa Nem'ro to participate in the prestigious Great Hunt competition.
While attempting to claim a bounty on the Republic scientist Albea within Fa'athra's Palace on the world of Nal Hutta, Rarsk encountered a rival bounty hunter. This other hunter had also been promised sponsorship by Nem'ro. The competing hunter then killed Rarsk, seizing the sponsorship token from his possession.
During the Cold War period between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, Rarsk, a Trandoshan male bounty hunter, was active. He committed the atrocity of burning an entire village on the planet of Dantooine. In the year 3643 BBY, he managed to obtain the sponsorship token from the crime lord Suudaa Nem'ro, granting him entry into the Great Hunt, a competition centered around bounty hunting. Shortly before Graata, a representative of the Great Hunt, was due to arrive at Nem'ro's Palace on Nal Hutta, Rarsk received a transmission from him. The Trandoshan then made his way to the palace belonging to Voontara Fa'athra, Nem'ro's rival, who held the Republic scientist [Albea](/article/albea] for the bounty hunter. Rarsk's intention was to collect the bounty and deliver Albea to the Empire, who wanted her dead.
Upon entering the palace, Rarsk noticed the bodies of many of Fa'athra's servants. He proceeded, blaster pistol drawn, into the lab where Albea was being held, accompanied by two Abyssin mercenaries. Inside the lab, Rarsk found the slicer Mako and another bounty hunter, who had also been promised sponsorship by Nem'ro, lying in wait. Nem'ro had instructed this hunter to eliminate Rarsk in order to claim the sponsorship token. Mako had intercepted Rarsk's transmission with Graata, learning about Albea and allowing them to reach her before the Trandoshan. Rarsk threatened to kill them if they did not surrender the bounty. The other hunter responded by demanding that Rarsk hand over the token. Neither willing to concede, Rarsk attacked, but he and the Abyssins were slain, and the token was taken from his corpse.
The surviving bounty hunter then killed Albea in order to also claim the bounty on her.
The bounty hunter and Mako then met with Graata at Nem'ro's Palace. Graata, surprised to not be meeting Rarsk, gave the instructions he intended to deliver to the Trandoshan to his replacement instead. Nem'ro was satisfied that he was now sponsoring the most dangerous bounty hunter on Nal Hutta and so the bounty hunter left to participate in, and ultimately win, the Great Hunt.
Nem'ro regarded Rarsk as a highly dangerous and fearsome hunter, believing him to be the most dangerous on Nal Hutta until his demise. The Trandoshan often referred to members of other species as "soft things," considering them unintelligent. He held faith in the Scorekeeper and invoked her protection before engaging in combat. Rarsk refused to trade his sponsorship token for Albea, confident in his ability to simply kill his opponents instead of negotiating. He communicated in Dosh, and possessed red eyes and green skin.
Rarsk's attire consisted of a brown and red jumpsuit, complemented by a brown vest and a gray belt. He carried a brown backpack and utilized a blaster pistol, a flamethrower, a grappling hook, a retractable blade, and grenades in combat situations.
Rarsk made an appearance in the 2011 massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars: The Old Republic as an adversary within the bounty hunter class storyline.
