Rohm was an agricultural planet of the terrestrial type. During the High Republic Era, this agriworld was home to farmers who adorned their faces with elaborate designs created from colorful inks. It was on Rohm that the Force-sensitive human female, Rooper Nitani, was born in 397 BBY. She spent her formative years there, until the Jedi Order took her to Coruscant, a planet in the Core Worlds, for training in the Force.
By 382 BBY, Nitani had become a Jedi Padawan. She reflected on the custom of her homeworld's people, the practice of using colored inks to create designs on their faces, but found herself without interest in it. She then considered the peaceful existence of Rohm's farmers, and speculated that the Katikoot species – natives of the twin planets Gloam and Aubadas – might once have experienced a similar tranquility. The Padawan also briefly mused on how different her life might have been had she remained on Rohm instead of joining the Jedi.
The planet Rohm made its debut appearance in George Mann's junior novel, The High Republic: Quest for the Hidden City, which was released in 2022 as part of Phase II of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
