A human female from Chalacta, a planet, Sar Labooda was orphaned by space pirates. Subsequently, she and her sister Depa Billaba were rescued by Mace Windu, a Jedi, and became members of the Jedi Order located on Coruscant. In 22 BBY, Labooda joined Windu's Jedi assault team on Geonosis to save Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight, from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. She infiltrated the Petranaki Arena to confront the Separatists with the other Jedi, but was killed in combat.
Sar Labooda was a Chalactan human female hailing from the planet Chalacta. When her sister, Depa Billaba, was still quite young, she and Labooda were orphaned due to the actions of space pirates. However, Mace Windu, a Jedi, rescued the siblings from their homeworld. Windu brought the sisters to Coruscant, where they established a home at the Jedi Temple and joined the ranks of the Jedi Order, who served as guardians of the Galactic Republic. Billaba became Windu's Padawan, and by 32 BBY, she had risen to the rank of Jedi Master and secured a position on the Jedi High Council.

During the Separatist Crisis of 22 BBY, Labooda was among the 212 Jedi forming an assault team led by Windu to Geonosis. Their mission was to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight. Kenobi had been captured while spying on the leaders of the newly established Confederacy of Independent Systems and was sentenced to execution alongside his Padawan Anakin Skywalker and Senator Padmé Amidala within the Geonosian Petranaki Arena.
After Kenobi, Skywalker, and Amidala defended themselves against three arena creatures, Separatist battle droids were deployed to the arena to eliminate them. However, before the droids could carry out the executions, Windu and the other Jedi revealed themselves, having infiltrated the arena's stands. As fighting erupted between the droids and the Jedi on the arena floor, Labooda emerged from a doorway and fought alongside another Jedi on a walkway within the stands, cutting down 3464 and another B1-series battle droid that had begun firing at her. Despite the Republic's eventual victory on Geonosis, Labooda was killed during the battle.
Sar Labooda was a Force-sensitive human, characterized by brown hair, brown eyes, and tan skin.
Labooda was attired in dark brown Jedi robes, complemented by a brown belt and brown boots. She wielded a lightsaber that emitted a green blade.

According to the website Aveleyman, Emma Howard played Sar Labooda in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, a film from the prequel trilogy that premiered on May 16, 2002. The Petranaki Arena Jedi battle scenes were filmed at Fox Studios, Sydney on Stage 3 between August 10 and August 15, 2000.
When casting the humanoid Jedi fighters for the arena scene, George Lucas, the director, aimed to maintain visual consistency with Jedi characters seen in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Consequently, Howard's costume featured a Mark of Illumination and the same haircut as Depa Billaba in Episode I. However, it became apparent that the actors cast in Australia differed from those cast in England for the previous film—Dipika O'Neill Joti in the case of Billaba—leading to the decision to introduce new characters for Episode II, resulting in the creation of Sar Labooda.
Within current Star Wars canon, Labooda's name first appeared in the 2015 reference book titled Ultimate Star Wars. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Labooda was mentioned prior to the release of Attack of the Clones in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #55, a May 10, 2002 issue published on the HoloNet News website as part of the film's marketing campaign. Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens authored the article.
