Adonai Kryze

Adonai Kryze, known as Duke of Kalevala, was the Mandalorian father of both Satine Kryze and Bo-Katan Kryze. As a member of House Kryze, he belonged to the royal family of the Mandalorians. In the decades preceding the Clone Wars, House Kryze of Kalevala held a prominent position among the Mandalorian clans, with Adonai Kryze, in his role as Duke, leading the Mandalorians during that time. Bo-Katan, as a young girl, underwent a Mandalorian initiation ritual in the Living Waters of the Mines of Mandalore to embrace the Mandalorian Creed, receiving numerous gifts as Adonai watched with pride.

Around 41 BBY, the Great Clan Wars erupted due to escalating tensions between various Mandalorian clans. During this conflict, Kryze rose to prominence as a warlord representing House Kryze, earning the respect of even his Death Watch adversaries. Through the prolonged conflict, Kryze came to the conclusion that continuous warfare would not bring Mandalore prosperity. Consequently, he dispatched his daughter, Satine Kryze, to Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Republic, to pursue diplomatic studies. He met his end on Mandalore, killed in action while defending the planet during the war. His pacifist daughter, Duchess Satine Kryze, succeeded him. Pre Vizsla, the leader of Death Watch, deemed Satine an unsuitable leader for the Mandalorians and thus conspired to form an alliance with Count Dooku.
