Jedi Plo Koon and Ahsoka Tano undertook a mission to Florrum during the Clone Wars to face Boba Fett, who had joined forces with bounty hunter Aurra Sing in an attempt to eliminate Jedi Master Mace Windu. The endeavor concluded with the capture of Fett and Bossk, while Sing was presumed to have perished.
Following the destruction of the Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer Endurance by bounty hunters Boba Fett, Aurra Sing, Bossk, and Castas as part of their scheme to assassinate Jedi Master Mace Windu, they seized numerous hostages, including Clone Commander Ponds, Admiral Shoan Kilian, and a clone naval officer. The Jedi Order dispatched Plo Koon and Padawan Ahsoka Tano to the Coruscant underworld in order to gather intelligence regarding the hunters' whereabouts. In the meantime, the group secretly sought refuge with Hondo Ohnaka on Florrum. While at Moshi Bar, Tano overheard a patron speaking about Castas and indicating his presence on Florrum. Armed with this information, the two Jedi journeyed to the desert planet to investigate.
