A clone navigation officer was a member of the crew on the Endurance during the conflict known as the Clone Wars. Following the sabotaged state of the Venator-class Star Destroyer due to the actions of Boba Fett, he remained on the ill-fated starship alongside Admiral Kilian and Clone Commander Ponds when it met its end on Vanqor. The officer, along with the Admiral and Commander, lived through the crash, only to be captured by Fett and his allies among the more experienced bounty hunters, specifically Aurra Sing, Bossk, and Castas. After Ponds' death, which was a failed attempt to lure out Jedi Master Mace Windu, who was the true target of Fett's vengeance, the clone navigation officer and Admiral Kilian were rescued on Florrum by the Padawan Ahsoka Tano.
