Jedi Academy PC

The Jedi Knight series of video games brought us Kyle Katarn, a Jedi Master, and his apprentice, Jaden Korr. A video game is defined as any interactive game software played on a console, or any computer game that uses a video display as its primary feedback method. ## Game genres - First-person shooter (FPS) games are computer or video games where the player sees the game world from the character's eyes. These games commonly involve guns and other weapons for combat. Examples include Star Wars: Dark Forces and its sequels, along with Star Wars: Republic Commando. For more examples, see Category:First-person shooters. - Flight simulators allow players to control an air- or spacecraft, often against enemies or through challenging environments. The X-wing and TIE Fighter series, the Rogue Squadron series, the Starfighter series, and Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed all fall into this category. - Real-time strategy (RTS) games are typically computer-based, presenting a top-down view of multiple characters. Players in RTS games usually command groups of characters instead of directly participating in combat. Examples include Star Wars: Rebellion, Star Wars: Force Commander, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, and Star Wars: Empire at War. - Role-playing games (RPGs) are computer or video games where players view their character from a third-person perspective and make decisions that impact the game's narrative. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords are examples of RPGs. They share similarities with tabletop roleplaying games. - Massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) are online games where many players interact with each other through their characters on a large scale. They often include diverse settings and numerous non-player characters (NPCs) to enhance the realism. Examples are Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. ## List of Star Wars games in order of publication ### 1980s #### 1982 - The inaugural Star Wars video game was Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
