Silandra Sho's shield
Silandra Sho, a Jedi Master during the High Republic Era, utilized a plasma shield known as Silandra's shield, or more formally, Silandra Sho's shield. This shield, designed for convenient accessibility, was strapped to her back. Upon activation, the hollow disc, featuring a bar across its center, generated sheets of plasma.
Sho acquired this shield, a legacy item passed down across centuries from master to Padawan. Notable previous wielders included Bran Ath'Morath, a Jedi who battled the Sith Lord Darth Caldoth, and Carok Hittak, a Jedi who ventured so far into the Outer Rim that he remained absent for two decades. Sho employed the shield during the Battle of Jedha, notably in a one-on-one confrontation with Mytion, the assassin leading the Brotherhood of the Ninth Door, within the Kyber Mirrors chamber beneath Jedha City.
Years afterward, Sho concealed the shield on Batuu, setting a challenge for her Padawan, Rooper Nitani, to locate and retrieve it as part of her trials for knighthood. Nitani succeeded, and Sho entrusted the shield to her, instructing her to keep it until she had a Padawan of her own to whom she could eventually pass it on.
Ultimately, the shield fell into the hands of a dealer on Batuu, before Cohmac Vitus, a former Jedi, rescued it. Subsequently, Vitus presented the shield as a gift to his former Padawan, Reath Silas.
