The Son-tuul Pride robbery, alternatively referred to as the Son-tuul Pride heist, unfolded not long after the Battle of Yavin, coinciding with a period when Imperial forces, under the leadership of Grand General Cassio Tagge, initiated a crackdown targeting Outer Rim criminal enterprises that had previously operated without significant interference. Darth Vader participated in a mission aimed at dismantling a criminal syndicate known as Son-tuul Pride. Along with his troops, he razed the Pride's headquarters and confiscated their amassed credits, intended for transport aboard an Imperial light cruiser; however, he discreetly furnished Aphra with all the necessary details to pilfer the credit shipment. Aphra then gathered bounty hunters Krrsantan, Bossk, IG-90, and Beebox at a cantina located on Son-tuul, divulging to them that she possessed insider knowledge that would enable them to seize the accumulated credits and successfully escape.
Aided by the bounty hunters, Aphra successfully intercepted the light cruiser carrying the credits while it was positioned above Anthan Prime. She initiated the detonation of an asteroid orbiting the planet, thereby generating a field of debris that the cruiser found impossible to navigate. Utilizing the asteroid collision as concealment, Aphra launched an ion torpedo towards the vessel, effectively disabling its electrical infrastructure. With the cruiser immobilized in the void, Aphra, Bossk, IG-90, and Beebox traversed the vacuum to board the ship. Upon gaining entry, the team accessed the ship's vault, where they encountered three Viper probe droids. Aphra neutralized the droids by deploying an Electro Magnetic Pulse grenade, and the bounty hunters swiftly dealt with their deactivated remains.
Subsequently, Aphra affixed a homing beacon to the vault and guided her team back out of the cruiser. With the team safely back aboard the Ark Angel, Black Krrsantan, piloting his own vessel, directed an asteroid into a collision trajectory with the cruiser's hull, causing the ship to disintegrate and scattering the credits into space. BT-1, who had strategically positioned himself on the ship's exterior, then generated a magnetic field, capturing a portion of the credits. Aphra, having promised the bounty hunters a more substantial payout, attempted to appease them by covering the operation's upfront costs. Later, on Anthan 13, where she and Krrsantan had secretly gathered the remaining credits, Aphra was approached by Vader, the mastermind behind the entire operation, who presented her with a new assignment.
