Beebox

Beebox, a male bounty hunter of indeterminate species, operated during the era of the Galactic Civil War. He became an associate of Chelli Lona Aphra, Bossk, Krrsantan, and IG-90 during the Son-tuul Pride robbery. Subsequently, Beebox accepted a bounty with the objective of either killing or capturing Aphra. Presenting a disintegrated corpse, falsely claiming it was Aphra, in an attempt to collect the reward, he was killed by Darth Vader, who perceived his dishonesty.

Biography

Encounter on Son-tuul

Beebox convened with Bossk and IG-90, fellow bounty hunters, at a bar located on Son-tuul. They were seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Krrsantan. Beebox revealed Krrsantan's participation in pit fighting, a revelation that puzzled Bossk, who questioned why a former Xonti Brothers gladiator would choose to revisit such experiences. Beebox speculated that Krrsantan was experiencing a wave of nostalgia. Following Krrsantan's departure from the fighting pit, Bossk, Beebox, Krrsantan, and IG-90 shared drinks at the bar. Subsequently, Dr. Aphra, recently affiliated with Darth Vader, informed the bounty hunter team that Darth Vader had recently eliminated the leader of the Son-tuul Pride and transferred the Hutt credits to an Imperial light cruiser, a detail already known to everyone, as IG-90 pointed out. Aphra then disclosed that she possessed precise knowledge of the cruiser's destination and could potentially enrich them.

Anthan Prime Heist

Beebox and the other bounty hunters

The bounty hunter team journeyed to the Anthan system, specifically the vicinity of Anthan Prime, aboard Aphra's personal vessel, the Ark Angel, with intentions of robbing the ship. Aphra detonated a simulated "asteroid", causing the target vessel to be enveloped in debris. She then launched an ion torpedo, explaining that the target would attribute the resulting power outage to the asteroid [field](/article/asteroid_field]. After Beebox and his associates infiltrated the ship, they deactivated the shields, enabling Krrsantan, piloting his ship, to destroy the ship's bridge. Simultaneously, Aphra's astromech Beetee used magnetic force to extract as many credits as possible, while Krrsantan secretly employed his ship's magnetic capabilities to siphon off a portion of the credits for himself.

Following the Anthan Prime heist, Beebox and the others received their shares of the payment. However, due to a significant amount of money being "lost", the final amount was less than anticipated. Subsequently, the group contemplated attacking Aphra, but she preemptively stated that she would forgo her share, hoping to dissuade them.

Vader's commission and demise

During the Shu-Torun War, Darth Vader tasked Krrsantan, Beebox, Bossk, and IG-90 with a bounty mission to either capture or kill Aphra. Later on, Triple-Zero, Aphra's homicidal protocol droid, informed Vader that Beebox had located Aphra, but that she was already deceased. Vader then confronted Beebox, who was unaware that Vader had issued the bounty. Beebox presented Vader with a body that had been reduced to ash, with only half of a skull remaining, claiming that he had been forced to use a disintegrator. However, Vader sensed that the remains were not those of Aphra. Beebox insisted that he would not deceive Vader, but the Dark Lord retorted, "You would. You did," before choking him until he died. Following Beebox's execution, Vader instructed Triple-Zero to dispose of the body and to warn the other bounty hunters against engaging in similar acts of deception. Triple-Zero commented on the body's odor as it was incinerated in the lava lakes of Shu-Torun.

Personality and traits

Beebox was characterized by his short stature. He was prone to deceit, as demonstrated by his attempt to fraudulently claim the bounty on Aphra. He was clad in orange and yellowish armor.
