The SoroSuub Anniversary event in 31 BBY was disrupted by several incidents: a stolen prototype's forced landing, a hazardous radiation storm, and a disagreement between the SoroSuub Corporation and the Metatheran Cartel.
The SoroSuub Corporation annually hosted a celebration. This event was held to commemorate the initial manufacturing run of the Cannibalizer at the Edic Bar facility.
During the 31 BBY celebration, a group of heroes infiltrated the Conkesta, a flying fortress created by a dark Jedi and hidden near the planetary core. After destroying the Conkesta, the heroes made their escape aboard a prototype ship they had taken from SoroSuub. Experiencing damage during their escape, the ship was forced to crash-land at the party. SoroSuub executives identified the stolen model and announced a reward for its retrieval. Alec, a Jedi Knight and ally of the heroes, extended an invitation for them to receive an honorary reception with officials from Genarius and Almas.
Later, during the party, a radiation storm threatened to turn the celebration into a catastrophe. The storm swept through the floating city, disabling its protective shields. The damage threatened to send the city plummeting into the gas giant Genarius far below. A number of heroes acted quickly, averting the potential disaster. Dazen Mok, a scholar of Jedi lore who witnessed the storm, later proposed that the Conkesta, being a creation of a dark Jedi, possessed a strong connection to the dark side. He theorized that the destruction of the fortress, combined with the dark side presence in Genarius' core, may have triggered the storm.
Furthermore, the celebration was tarnished by a public dispute between Miim Te'Suub representing the SoroSuub Corporation, and Thurm Loogg of the Metatheran Cartel. Te'Suub was angered by the Cartel's decision to overlay his annual speech with their logo. Jedi Consulars intervened to mediate the conflict before it escalated into violence. Major Kurth San of the Thaereian military leveraged the party as an opportunity to assess potential recruits for his army.
As the celebration concluded, SoroSuub expressed their gratitude by gifting one of the helpful pilots with a prototype SoroSuub RK-720 Light Freighter, named the Sivulliq.
