The initial release of the Star Wars PocketModel TCG trading card game, also known as the Base Set, hit shelves on June 19, 2007, presenting players with a collection of one hundred and twenty cards and thirty-six units to build their decks and engage in gameplay. These units encompassed a variety of starship types drawn from the original and prequel movie trilogies, as well as material from the Expanded Universe, and they represented the forces of the Rebel, Imperial, Republic, and Separatist factions.

The 30th Anniversary Collector's Tin, which was available at the WizKids booth during Celebration IV (CIV tin), included a Episode III variant - Revenge of the Sith of the Millennium Falcon YT-1300 Light Freighter (referred to as the CIV Falcon by collectors to distinguish it from the Millennium Falcon game piece in the Base Set), as well as five sealed booster packs. The tin was later re-released without the CIV Falcon unit.
Each collector's tin sold at Celebration IV contained a limited edition Millennium Falcon game piece, in addition to the random units found in the five included boosters.
