The Starship Graveyard, alternatively referred to as the Graveyard of Giants or the Graveyard of Ships, was a vast desert region located on the planet Jakku. It earned its moniker due to the accumulation of "giant" ship remnants scattered across its dunes following the Battle of Jakku.

A year following the Battle of Endor, a conflict unfolded on Jakku between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic. During this battle, numerous starships from both sides sustained damage and crashed onto the surface, resulting in a landscape filled with wreckage and hazardous materials such as fuel and coolant. Among the remnants of colossal warships were the Inflictor and the Ravager. Republic infantry endeavored to launch a decisive assault on the Imperial forces who were defending their weapons facility. In one area of the graveyard, the sandy ground of the Crackle had vitrified into glass due to the intense heat generated by a crash.
At one point, Pilot Taka Jamoreesa piloted a Resistance transport through the graveyard. The 35 ABY uprising against the First Order contributed at least one additional Resurgent-class Star Destroyer to the debris field in this zone.
The "Graveyard of Giants" is one of the two maps featured in the free downloadable content for Star Wars Battlefront called "Battle of Jakku," which saw its release on December 8, 2015.
The Graveyard made its initial appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Immersive 360 Experience, a promotional video that was exclusively made for Facebook.
